Support for Scotty Saunders and Her Family
Our dear friend and colleague, Scotty Saunders, is enduring an unimaginable loss. At 36 weeks pregnant, she recently lost her husband unexpectedly. She is now preparing to welcome their new baby while caring for their three young children, all under the age of five.
As her friends, coworkers, and community, we want to come together to help ease some of the burden and provide her with stability and support in the weeks and months ahead.
Funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward essential expenses for Scotty and her children, including:
Daily living costs (food, childcare, and household needs)
Support for maternity and newborn care
Medical and counseling expenses
Longer-term stability as she transitions to life as a single parent of four young children
Every contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference and remind Scotty that she is not alone and that her BCH community is showing up for her, as she has supported so many in myriad ways over the years via IV help, a smile and her vivacious hello, or jumping in to save the day in 52, or teaching nurses around the world.
